Sometimes I cruise the postings in the Forum to get myself thinking about what it is I ought to be talking about.
Hey! Let's go girls! ...and you guys too...Let's all start talking it up in that Forum. What we all need is a place where we can go and "hang it all out."
Do you have a place like that?
Well, you do now!
Right now we are in need of some ladies with their brains as turned on as their libidos so we can have some REAL FORUM FIREWORKS!
We want to create a place that will be a regular stop on your Internet Browse. But we will need your help to make it happen.
We want "theOtapes.com" to work for YOU.
This should be a place where people can talk and learn, and people can have fun, and people can just sound off. I am going to play my part by getting my "Bloggin' Boots" on a lot more often and stompin' around in here.
I will visit the Forum frequently and weigh in everywhere with my opinion and the opinions of other experts in the field.
So what's the hot topic for today?
If you go to the "Doing It" section of the Forum there is only one topic there...anal.
Ready or not, here's my 2 cents on anal...
Many of you are too young to remember, but back in the "sexual dark ages" in this country...back in the last century before that time they call "the 50s", practically the most taboo sexual subject there was...was (gasp) "the Blow Job." It was something no decent woman would ever do for a man, and for that reason it was the one thing that turned men on the most. They hungered for it. It's what every soldier overseas fantasized about, and the first thing he asked for in the brothels and whorehouses he might fall into.
Once he got back home...FORGET IT.
American women thought it was "degrading." It was "filthy and disgusting." It was a desire that arose in men because all they really wanted to do was to dominate women. It was considered "sexual subjugation" and no self respecting woman would countenance such a vile act. And as far as men doing that to women...now that really did sound disgusting.
Why would any man want to do that?
It was Taboo.
How times change... and how short our memories become when our libidos are more sensitively brought into play.
Barely 50 years later girl's in high school were "giving head" to boys because "they didn't want to go all the way with them, but they needed to keep them quiet." In fact most young and newly sexually active ladies of today think of oral sex as "not really sex...more like foreplay." Why, even the President himself said it...he did not have sex with that woman...not REAL Sex. I think it was probably Monica who convinced him of that. Because that is the way she probably looked at it.
Today...everybody's doing it. Why? Because, surprise, surprise... we love it! Is it more blessed to give than receive? Frankly both are bliss?
OK...ready for my prediction?
In another generation anal sex will be almost as common. Just as easy. Just as convenient. Just as "no big deal." Already I am hearing girls say that they will let their boyfriends use the back door, because they aren't ready to let him in the front. I am having some girls tell me that they are using anal as a means of birth control. HIV positive women are doing it to avoid infecting HIV negative men...and they say it's some of the best sex they've had. I am having many others ask me the same questions that are being asked in "the O Tapes" Forum right now..."I don't know how to do this, and I am starting to feel sexually inadequate."
Sexually inadequate?...those are fighting words!
We won't stand for that.
Can a change in how we feel about anal be far behind?
What do you think?
Remember...your brain is your most erogenous zone.

Happy New Year, one and all!
Happy New Year, one and all from The O Tapes. 2007 was an orgiastic year for "The Tapes" what with our incredible ratings on SHOWTIME and the release in late November of our "Special Edition" DVD with over 30 minutes of material NEVER BEFORE SEEN! Want to know what turns our women on? Want to know what turns them off? You'll have to check out the "Special Edition" and go to the "Turn Offs/Turn Ons" Bonus segment.
What was frustrating for all of us women of "The O Tapes," was that even after the programming folks at SHOWTIME told us that we were doing "L Word numbers" in the ratings on the network (on one occasion I know of when "L Word" was our lead in show, we actually OUTDID them when we came on!) . . . even with all of that, our hopes that we were going to be able to bring you a 1/2 hr. weekly show on the Network were dashed when Showtime told us that they weren't really willing to pay more than the cost of one episode for the entire series. It seems that they are willing to spend millions of dollars on historical dramas that few people watch, but when it comes to spending a fraction of that cost on "real life issues that women really care about"...well...not so much..."we don't think so."
Ladies, we need to make our voices heard in the halls at SHOWTIME!
Write to the "Contact" folks at www.sho.com (they're at the bottom of the page) and say "WE WANT THE O TAPES SERIES!
It's just like I always say about sexual pleasure in bed. If you don't tell them exactly what you like and what turns you on...it ain't ever goin' to happen, girls.
So who's got a question? Let's talk!
Bless you all,
Ophelia

So Serious
Ophelia,
Why are sexual blogs for woman so serious. I like to laugh and have fun. I understand that teaching women to be sexually fulfilled is a serious business but I think it need to be more fun.
Julie Ann, Mississippi
Julie,
I agree. Feel free to chastise me if I start getting too stuffy or overly clinical.

Female Sexuality
Ophelia,
Are you a "true" expert on female sexuality??
Mrs. Judy Mendows, Tulsa
Judy,
You be the judge. I graduated from Stanford in 1978with a degree in Psychology. Since then I've workedfor Sexually oriented publications in San Francisco andNew York City. I've been a Columnist on female sexual subjects for the past 7 years.During that period, I've researched hundreds of bookson the subject and (probably) two thousand web pages.I'm not a doctor and I don't dispense medical advice.I'm also not a woman who hates men. I believe that women deserve sexual fulfillment.I've been quoted as saying, "Perversity is having sex outside your species."

Welcome to the Otapes Blog
Debbie Romm from Denver, Colorado emailed us with a questionWhat do you mean when you say, "female ejaculation ... is that the same as an orgasm??" Debbie
In female ejaculation a liquid is produced. It may look like urine but it's not. it's odorless and it's generated by a female prostate-like gland. It's true that all women have a G-spot, but it's estimated that only 10% and 40% of women are capable of ejaculation. It's also true that the G-spot need not be stimulated for ejaculation to occur, but women we've talked to tell us that their first ejaculation experience came from massaging their G-spot.Female ejaculation varies from a few drops to a huge gush. We don't know if it's true but some women have told us that their ejaculation sprayed substantial amounts of fluid 5-10 feet out
